03. How Long Does A Paver Driveway Last?

04. What Is The Best Choice Of Pavers For A Driveway?

06. Is A Paver Driveway More Expensive Than A Concrete Driveway?
The Short Answer: Yes. But there are 2 major benefits that make a paver driveway much more appealing.
- With a paver driveway, you’re essentially paying upfront for the maintenance costs that would have to be spent on a concrete driveway over it’s lifespan. There is very little maintenance needed on a paver driveway.
- A paver driveway, installed properly and with proper maintenance and upkeep, will likely outlive a concrete driveway by 5 to 10 years.
07. Can A Paver Driveway Be Installed On A Slope Or Hill?
Answer: Yes. However, it may be necessary to install retaining walls or concrete retaining borders to help keep the paver driveway locked in place depending on the degree of incline.
08. Can A Paver Driveway Be Installed Over An Existing Asphalt Or Concrete Driveway?

10. Do Paver Driveways Require Ongoing Maintenance And Upkeep?
Answer: When comparing paver driveways to other driveways such as concrete or asphalt, paver driveways require a fraction of the maintenance and upkeep.

01. What Is The Best Way To Remove Oil Stains From A Paver Driveway?
Answer: A heavy duty degreaser, a little water and a wire brush. Scrub the oil spot off and rinse it well.
Cat little or topsoil are excellent alternatives if the oil spots are very recent or fresh. Let the cat little or topsoil sit on the oil spot for a few days. Alternate the oil soaked litter or topsoil with dry litter or soil every couple of days until the oil spot disappears.
02. How Do I Prevent Weeds From Growing In My Paver Driveway?
Answer: This issue can be greatly reduced if addressed during the installation. Adding a geotextile fabric or weed barrier prior to installing the paver driveway will greatly reduce weeds.
If it’s an existing paver driveway, then spraying weed killer can kill existing weeds and prevent new ones.
03. What Is The Best Way To Remove Moss Or Algae From A Paver Driveway?
Answer: The most effective ay to clean moss or algae from pavers is to use a pressure washer. Creating a mixture of vinegar and water and spraying it on the pavers prior to power washing assist in the removal.
If you don’t have a pressure washer, a good, stiff bristled brush, water and a vinegar/water solution will remove the moss or algae with a little bit of elbow grease!
04. How Do I Stop The Pavers On My Driveway From Being Slippery When They’re Wet?
Answer: A short term solution is to cast sand on the pavers.
A more permanent solution is to seal the pavers with a special sand mixed into the sealer or cast over the the sealer as it’s being applied.
Keep in mind, some paver manufactures will no longer warranty pavers that have been sealed.
05. Can Paver Driveways Be Sealed?
Answer: Yes. However, some paver manufacturers will void the warranty if the pavers are sealed.
Keep in mind that once you seal pavers, it will then become a regular routine maintenance that will need to be done every 3 to 5 years in order to keep the paver driveway looking clean and fresh.
06. How Often Should A Paver Driveway Be Sealed?
Answer: Once a paver driveway has been sealed once, it will need to continue to be sealed every 3 to 5 years thereafter in order to keep the paver driveway looking good.
